Khurram H. Alavi is a director, screenwriter, story consultant, sculptor and art director. With over 15 years of experience in the field Khurram made his directorial debut with ‘Bilal: A New Breed of Hero’, an epic animated story about one of Arabian history’s most revered personalities. A childhood obsession with superheroes and pop culture drove Khurram to pursue a career in visual entertainment. Hailing from the prestigious Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture in Pakistan, his experience in the field is diverse. With a solid command over writing, illustration, sculpture, design and advertising. When it comes to quality and market value, Khurram can look at a project from all sides of the spectrum.
Michael began his career in a most advantageous manner, being born the grandson of Moe Howard of the famed slapstick comedy team, “The Three Stooges” and the son of Norman Maurer, renowned comic book artist, film
producer, and co-creator of the first ever 3-D comic book, “Mighty Mouse.” With this hereditary boost, Michael soon launched a prolific writing career in animation as well as live-TV and film.
Specializing in children’s entertainment and family films, Michael has developed series, story edited, written pilots and penned over 300 scripts for studios in a dozen countries. Michael’s story editing credits include the animated “Karate Kid”; the live-action teen sci-fi series, “The Zack Files”; “Mythic Warriors,” a half-hour animated fantasy adventure for CBS/Nelvana based on the Greek myths and the animated “Police Academy” series for Warners.
While writing for children’s TV, Michael found the time to work on the great American (or more accurately, great Russian) screenplay, co-writing “Red Hot.” The film is a teenage drama/romance about rock ‘n roll in Russia in the 1950’s and stars Balthazar Getty, Carla Gugino and Donald Sutherland. Most recently, Michael sold an original animated musical comedy feature film for ARC Productions (fka: Starz Animation, the producers of “Gnomeo & Juliet.)
Dayne has over 25 years experience in the visual effects and film industry and has worked for most of the major post production companies in the UK, Australia and Asia.
He also worked closely with most of the prominent US, Chinese and Indian film studios. On projects ranging from Batman Begins to Scott Pilgrim vs The World. He was elected to the Board of the Visual Effects Society for the 2014-2015, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 terms.
Prior to this he was the Chair of the London Section.He has extensive on set experience and a deep knowledge of the entire post production workflow, having managed all aspects of it. He maintains strong ties with educational institutions all over the world and has always had a strong desire to develop the industry from a grass roots level.
